The AK-47 is a Selective_fire selective-fire, Gas_operated gas-operated 7.62%, C3%, 9739mm 7.62×39mm Assault_rifle. It is officially known as Avtomat Kalashnikova. It is also known as a Kalashnikov, an "AK", or, Kalash. The standard AK-47 or AKM fires the 7.62x39mm Cartridge with a muzzle velocity of 710 metres per second (2,300 ft/s). Muzzle energy is 2,010 joules (1,480 ft·lbf). Projectile weight is normally 7.8 grams (120 gr). The AK-47 and AKM, with the 7.62×39mm cartridge, have a maximum effective range of around 400 metres (1,300 ft). This gun has been designed by MANY countries around the world. It has many varients to the design as well! It can be equipped with a side bracket scope mount. The upper and lower hand-guards are replaced by a more modern hand-guard with an ergonomic pistol grip, polymer magazine, a modified crane stock, tritium iron sights, and a unique spiral flash hider/muzzle brake. AK-47 is powerful enough to kill with one shot at any range, unless shooting through cover, on hardcore matches. This strength is equivalent to the SCAR-H and M14 weapons.
